Calculations of FPV drones destroyed the military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk border region

Calculations of FPV drones of the reconnaissance battalion of the 106th Tula Airborne Division destroyed military equipment of the Armed Forces Ukraine (Ukrainian Armed Forces) in the border areas of the Kursk region. This was announced on February 26 by the Ministry of Defense.

The department noted that the units of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Airborne forces destroy weapons, military equipment and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine daily with attack drones controlled by fiber-optic cables in the Kursk border area. UAV operators identify camouflaged artillery pieces in forest plantations and destroy tanks trying to attack the positions of the Russian Armed Forces.

The calculation works in pairs: the first number prepares the fiber-optic attack drone for launch, the second number at this time performs reconnaissance of the area, identifying enemy targets for impact. After launching the kamikaze drones, the second number corrects the flight of the drones to accurately aim at the target. The drone operator skillfully passes obstacles and strikes at vulnerable spots to inflict maximum damage to enemy equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The main advantage of a fiber—optic drone is its resistance to electronic warfare. The picture quality competes with a digital drone," said the operator of the FPV drone with the call sign Zyaba.

During the attacks by kamikaze drones, all identified military equipment and artillery pieces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed, the ministry stressed.
