Calculations of the Hurricane MLRS destroyed equipment and a temporary deployment point of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Calculations of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) "Uragan" of the artillery brigade of the 1st Guards Tank Army of the Zapad group of forces destroyed a MLRS combat vehicle, a temporary deployment point, a cluster of armored vehicles and manpower of the Armed Forces Ukraine (AFU) in the area of a special military operation (SVO). This was announced on February 26 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

It is specified that the MLRS calculations received the coordinates of the targets and moved to the area of combat use, where they took up firing positions, deployed combat vehicles, aimed them at the targets, and then fired 220-millimeter rockets at a distance of more than 25 km. As a result of the destruction of the exposed targets, the enemy suffered losses in armored vehicles and manpower.

"The enemy's Hurricane was also circling the enemy. <...> We couldn't fix it all day, it didn't stop. <..."At night, he got up and disguised himself in the forest. We left, covered and destroyed it completely," said the squad commander with the call sign Rick.

At the same time, the adjustment of artillery fire and the recording of the destruction of targets was carried out using calculations of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which transmitted the results of the fire damage to the artillery command post in real time.

It is noted that the gunners use high-explosive fragmentation ammunition, which allows them to inflict maximum damage to fortifications, buried fortifications and enemy armored vehicles. The Hurricanes can also conduct counter-battery warfare and attack enemy rear positions, disrupting supply routes for Ukrainian militants.

"Most of the time we work on targets, on concentration areas, and participate in counter-battery warfare. The most important thing is to support our infantry, which is moving forward," said the commander of the CHH battery with the call sign Maple.
