Deputy Head of Gagauzia Petrov was released from Chisinau airport after being detained

The deputy head of Gagauzia, Viktor Petrov, who was previously detained at the Chisinau airport, was released. This was announced on February 25 by Alexander Sukhodolsky, a deputy of the Moldovan parliament from Gagauzia and the Victory bloc.

"It has just become known that Viktor Petrov, deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of Gagauzia, is at large," Sukhodolsky said in a Telegram message.

He clarified that at the moment the reasons for the detention are unknown. According to him, Petrov will independently provide all the details of the incident in the near future.

On the same day, it was reported that Petrov was detained at Chisinau airport. Sukhodolsky called the detention of the deputy head lawlessness.
