A good deal to resolve the Ukrainian conflict can leave the parties "a little unhappy." This statement was made on February 25 by White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt.

"In order for her (the deal. — Ed.) to conclude, it is necessary that both sides sit down at the negotiating table. As a rule, when a good deal is concluded, both sides leave the table a little unhappy," the spokeswoman said during a briefing.

She clarified that she would not discuss the "concessions" that the presidential administration had put forward USA Donald Trump.

On February 24, Trump announced a promotion in the negotiation process between Russia and the United States on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. According to him, the negotiations are going "very well."

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on February 20 that Russia I am impressed by the position of the new Washington administration on the settlement of the situation in Ukraine. According to him, the new US administration holds different views — they say that it is necessary to establish peace as soon as possible and to do so through negotiations.
