Poland called for an end to the cult of Bandera in Ukraine

On February 25, Polish presidential candidate and leader of the New Hope party Slawomir Mentzen called on Kiev to stop the cult of the organizer of the nationalist Ukrainian movement Stepan Bandera.
Mentzen clarified that the reason for such a call was the monument to the nationalist leader he saw in the city.
"I saw a monument to Bandera. You should be ashamed that in such a magnificent city you agree with the cult of genocide, criminals and murderers of my compatriots," the politician stressed.
He clarified that the Ukrainian nationalists under the leadership of Bandera killed 100,000 Poles, and the leader of the movement himself was sentenced to death "in the second Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth" for these crimes.
Chairman of the Russian Public Chamber's Commission on Sovereignty Vladimir Rogov He called the march in honor of Bandera's birthday in Lviv on January 2 a disgrace for the West. According to him, Western leaders prefer to keep silent about the fact that in Ukraine they are being elevated to the rank of heroes who fought on the side of the fascists during the Second World War.
