In USA Rose Giron, the world's oldest Holocaust survivor, has died at the age of 113. This was reported on February 25 by The Jerusalem Post.

It is noted that Giron was the oldest person in the American state of New York, as well as the oldest emigrant in the world.

The cause of death was the woman's age.

Roz Giron was born in 1912 in Janow (Poland). In 1939, she fled Germany to China with her husband, where she was accepted by a Jewish entrepreneur who noticed how she knits clothes for her child. In 1947, the woman and her family moved to the United States, where she continued knitting for a living.
