Support for Cossacks participating in the SVO was discussed in Moscow.


During a meeting of a large circle of the All-Russian Cossack Society in Moscow discussed providing support to the Cossacks who are defending the country on the front line in the area of the special military operation (SVO). This was reported to Izvestia on February 25.
The meeting was attended by representatives of more than 2,000 associations. At the same time, some participants arrived in the capital directly from the war zone. It is indicated that at the moment there are more than 18 thousand Cossacks on the front line.
"Today we will talk about the heroic feat of the Cossacks in the free zone, we will say that the Cossacks are the backbone of the state. We will talk about our future, about the youth," said Vitaly Kuznetsov, ataman of the All—Russian Cossack Society.
In addition, the meeting discussed the formation of Cossack troops in new regions of Russia, as well as the training of a professional Cossack personnel reserve.
Earlier, on February 22, it was reported that the Russian State Duma would consider 26 draft laws on with the support of ITS participants and their family members, and eight of them were adopted in the first reading. It was clarified that among the approved initiatives is the issue of simultaneous receipt of two pensions for participants in the fighting in the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics.
