People's Artist of the RSFSR Valeria Khugaeva has died.

"She always sincerely burned the stage, treated those rare people who are distinguished by an honest, serious and respectful attitude to the profession. Just think about it, the actress has more than two hundred roles on her account, thirty of which are the main ones," Tuskaev wrote on the Telegram channel.

Khugayeva was a real star of Russian culture, the head of the Republic added. She made a huge contribution to the development of theatrical art in North Ossetia, where she lived and worked for many years.

Valeria Khugaeva showed her skills on the stage of the Evgeny Vakhtangov Russian Drama Theater, to which she devoted more than 60 years of her life. In the 1960s, the heroine of the play of the same name based on the poem by Kosta Khetagurov, Fatima, conquered the audience of the Soviet Union in her performance.
