- Students and graduates of fashion universities will take part in the Moscow Fashion Week

A. N. Kosygin Russian State University. The Institute of Arts, the Moscow Art and Industrial Institute, the Institute of Business and Design (B&D), the Online Academy of Branding and Design Metrics, as well as Ivanovo State Polytechnic University will hold collective shows of their students and graduates at the Moscow Fashion Week, which will be held from March 13 to 18 at the Central Exhibition Hall "Manege".
"I honestly did not even expect such a large number of applications for participation in the Moscow Fashion Week from students and recent graduates of Russian universities and fashion schools. This means that young designers understand that Moscow Fashion Week is not only a creative cluster for established brands, but also an important point of growth, and the first professional experience, and the opportunity to gain an audience and get to know the actors of the Russian fashion industry. Well, lectures, public talks and master classes are very important, they discuss issues that are rarely heard within the walls of schools and universities," said Olga Mikhailovskaya, member of the Expert Council of Moscow Fashion Week, fashion columnist, co-founder of the online platform of Russian brands FRONT, creator of the telegram channel Front Fashion.
"Moscow Fashion Week provides our students with an opportunity to express themselves. We invite fashion designers with their own brands to the shows, they can choose to join their team or invite our students for an internship. It is important for us to provide students with the opportunity to showcase their work to a wide audience — this is not only prestigious for beginners, but also highlights the high level of training of our university," said Alexey Egorov, Rector of the Moscow Art and Industrial Institute.
"Participation in the Moscow Fashion Week is an opportunity to confirm the high level of training of young designers of our university at the main fashion venue in Russia. Our students traditionally become winners of leading fashion contests and festivals. For them, participation in Moscow Fashion Week is a preparation for creating their own brand. We have no doubt that they will soon be able to participate in Moscow Fashion Week with their own shows," said Elena Nikiforova, Acting Rector of Ivanovo State Polytechnic University.
Moscow Fashion Week strengthens the status of the largest international platform for the development and popularization of new, unique national fashion and support for young designers. In addition to the fashion shows, Moscow Fashion Week will feature an open market with products from local brands, a lecture hall with the participation of leading industry experts, a festival of short films about fashion, World Fashion Shorts, and a professional showroom. Earlier it became known that more than a thousand applications from designers were received for participation in the Moscow Fashion Week from dozens of Russian cities. In addition to Russian designers, representatives of the fashion industry from China, Indonesia, South Africa and other countries will take part in the event.
The organizer of the Moscow Fashion Week is the Fashion Foundation with the support of the Moscow Government.
