The Novokuznetsk Airport terminal in the Kemerovo Region was officially opened on February 25. This was reported by the press service of the Federal Air Transport Agency on the official on the website.

"On February 25, the new passenger terminal of Novokuznetsk International Airport named after B.V. Volynov was opened in the Kemerovo Region..."The opening of the terminal will give an impetus to the economic development not only of the region, but also of the entire country, as well as ensure the growth of passenger traffic, the expansion of the geography of flights and the route network," the publication says.

It is noted that the new terminal is five times the size of the old building. The terminal has three teletraps, five boarding gates, six escalators and 15 elevators. The terminal will now be able to serve up to 1.7 million passengers annually, the agency noted.

In addition, the only system for automatic loading of oversized luggage in Russia is available in it, and for the convenience of passengers, an area with a kitchen, a playground, changing tables for children and beds has been created in the building.
