The "Hurrah for Victory!" campaign dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory has started in Russia. This was announced on February 25 by Bella Cherkesova, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, together with Elena Malysheva, head of the National Center for Historical Memory under the President of Russia, at a press conference dedicated to the launch of the campaign at the Rossiya Segodnya multimedia press center.

"This year is special and significant, we are celebrating the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Of course, a huge number of various events and actions are timed to coincide with this holiday at various levels: regional, federal, and public organizations, and, of course, simply, as they say, spontaneous, from the heart and soul. Today we have gathered to open the "Hurrah for Victory!" campaign, Cherkesova noted.

She added that the campaign was first launched back in 2010, and at the moment, the largest mobile operators, such as Megafon, MTS, T2 and others, have traditionally joined it.

As part of the campaign, Russians can call the single toll-free number "1945", and then get access to digital content, such as wartime ringtones, which can be set as a phone call or replaced with a dial tone.

You can also call a short number and get access to the Sovinformburo reports from 1945, which were read out by Soviet announcer Yuri Levitan. According to Cherkesova, more than 21 million people joined the rally on the 75th anniversary of the Victory.

On the eve it became known that on the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the head of Rosprirodnadzor Svetlana Radionova announced href="https://iz.ru/1844065/2025-02-24/k-80-letiiu-pobedy-startuet-vserossiiskaia-aktciia-igrushka-veteranu " target="_blank">the All-Russian action "Toy for a veteran" within the framework of the International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business". To participate, you need to make a soft toy with your own hands — the Umku polar bear, the symbol of the Rosprirodnadzor award. And along with good wishes, send the parcel by April 1, 2025 to the ecomail of the Ecology is Everyone's Business award. All the collected crafts will be delivered to veterans of the Great Patriotic War living in different parts of the country.
