Valery Karpin left the post of head coach of FC Rostov, follows from the publication on the official on the club's website on February 25.

"Valery Georgievich Karpin is leaving the post of head coach of the Rostov football club. This is a difficult decision dictated by the need to focus as much as possible on working for the Russian national team," said Artashes Harutyunyants, president of the club.

Harutyunyan also noted Karpin's great contribution to the club's development and wished him success in his future work.

Later, a message appeared on the club's Telegram channel that 43-year-old Spaniard Jonathan Alba had become the new head coach of Rostov.

It is noted that he has held the position of chief analyst at Karpin's headquarters since 2018. Later, in 2021, he joined the Russian national team, and in 2022 he returned to Rostov.

February 12, Sports director of the Dynamo Moscow Hockey club Alexey Sopin left the post at his own request. Then Viktor Voronin, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of HC Dynamo, noted that such a decision was unexpected and there were no candidates for this position yet.
