The Interior Ministry warned of a new fraud scheme on "Gosusluga"

Attackers have adapted fraudulent schemes for the younger generation, now their goal is to get access to the account on "Gosusluga". This was reported on February 25 by the press service of the CBK of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
According to the agency, fraudsters call students and pupils to allegedly check data or registration in the service and ask to name the authorization code. Having gained access to the account, the attackers are able to, among other things, make applications for loans in banks.
When the victim of fraudsters realizes that the account has been hacked, a fake "Rosfinmonitoring" or "investigator" is connected. In this case, the attackers seek to convince the victim that she is in control of the situation and will be able to avoid undesirable consequences, the publication notes.
The agency warned of two variants of theft of funds. In the first, the potential victim is asked to take a photo of the back of the bank card to "attach to the statement", and in the second they offer to withdraw money from the account and give it to the courier "for protection".
Earlier, on February 21, the official representative of the Russian Interior Ministry Irina Volk said that scammers have invented a new way to deceive Russians with alleged kidnapping and ransom for release.
Prior to that, on February 20, the department for organizing the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies (UBK) of the Russian Interior Ministry warned about a new method of fraud with the code from the intercom.
