The corpse of a rabid fox was found in the Minusinsk District (Krasnoyarsk Territory). The presence of a dangerous disease was confirmed by laboratory tests.

The discovery was made on February 12 in the village of Lugavskoye. Quarantine measures were introduced in the locality. In particular, they involve mandatory vaccination of susceptible animals.

According to KrasnoyarskMedia IA, no new cases of rabies in the quarantine zone have been detected so far.

Earlier in February, a pet dog sick with rabies was found in Minusinsk itself. The source of the disease was in the private sector on Lugovaya Street.
