Ka-52m crew strikes AFU personnel in Kursk border area


The crew of a Ka-52m helicopter has struck personnel and a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in a border area of Kursk Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on February 25.
"The crew of the army aviation on the Ka-52m helicopter as part of a mixed tactical group struck an air missile attack on the personnel and a stronghold of the AFU in the border area of the Kursk region," the statement said.
It is noted that the pilots of the army aviation launched missiles according to coordinates from the aviation gunner, destroying fortifications and enemy manpower. After the strike, the servicemen performed anti-missile maneuvering to protect themselves from MANPADS missiles.
According to the agency, the destruction of all AFU targets was confirmed by the advanced air spotter.
Earlier in the day, the Defense Ministry reported the defeat of AFU personnel and armored vehicles in the Kursk border area by a Russian Mi-28NM helicopter. After that, the crew performed anti-missile maneuvering with the firing of heat traps to evade enemy anti-aircraft missiles.
