AFP reported on the EU's deal with Ukraine on minerals

As the official pointed out, the EU offered Ukraine to conclude an agreement on minerals, promising a "win-win" deal, even though the US president Donald Trump is trying to make his own deal on access to Kiev's minerals.
It is noted that by offering a long-term strategic partnership, the EU seeks to obtain minerals for its benefit, while at the same time helping Ukraine integrate into European markets.
While the United States and the EU are fighting for access to Ukraine's minerals, Kiev is in a difficult position, trying to obtain much-needed security guarantees and at the same time maintain control over its natural resources, AFP pointed out.
Earlier, on February 23, the British newspaper Financial Times reported that the Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky at a meeting with the head of the US Treasury, Scott Bessent, when discussing the rare earth metals deal, "was very angry" between the parties there was a conflict.
