There was an explosion at a military facility in Slovakia


An explosion occurred at the military-technical testing institute "Zagorje" in Slovakia, leaving two people injured. About it on February 25 reports the news agency TASR.
"Based on a call to an emergency number, we sent an ambulance and a rescue service helicopter after 8:15 a.m. to the military-technical and testing institute "Zagorje", where, according to preliminary information, there was an explosion," TASR quoted Slovak rescue service spokeswoman Danka Tsapakova as saying.
Information about the explosion was also confirmed by Slovak Defense Minister Robert Kaliniak. He said that the explosion occurred during training firing, and it is not yet possible to determine the cause of the incident.
"At the moment it is impossible to determine the exact cause of this emergency incident: whether there was a failure of powder charges, ammunition or the weapon complex itself," he said.
Two people were injured in the incident and are already under the care of doctors, the publication said.
Earlier, on February 19, a gas drilling derrick exploded at the Radonezhskoye field in the Tyumen Region. Emergencies Ministry employees who arrived on the scene promptly extinguished the fire. Two people were injured, they received burns to their hands and face.
