More than half of Polish citizens believe that Ukraine should move towards a quick conclusion of peace in the conflict with Russia. This was reported by Radio ZET on February 25, citing a poll conducted among the population.

"Almost six out of ten Poles <...> when asked how they think Ukraine should behave in the conflict with Russia, [responded that] they believe it should 'move faster to make peace,'" the piece said.

The organizers of the poll asked Poles how Ukraine should behave in the conflict. 30% of respondents said that Kiev should not stop fighting, while 57% said that the country should "move quickly towards a peaceful settlement." Another 13% were undecided about their answer.

Earlier, on December 19, 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed out the importance of achieving a long-term peace with guarantees in the Ukrainian conflict.

The last round of talks was held in Istanbul on March 29, 2022. They lasted about three hours. Later, Kiev officially refused contacts with Moscow. On October 4 of the same year, a decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on the impossibility of holding talks with Putin was put into effect.
