In Novy Urengoy in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation is checking information that appeared in the media about a child being injured in the entrance of a house. According to this information, a metal shield fell on the child's head from a height.

According to Ura.ru news agency with reference to the victim's mother, the incident occurred on February 23 in a house on Mirny Avenue. A six-year-old boy suffered from the collapse of the shield, which weighed 5 kg.

The check is carried out on the signs of the crime under the article "Performance of services that do not meet the requirements of safety for the health of consumers".

Earlier, on February 18, it was reported that in the Baryshsky district of the Ulyanovsk region two people were injured due to the collapse of the ceiling of the house. According to preliminary information, the cause of the collapse of a two-family house in the village of Chuvashskaya Reshetka was the ignition of cylinder gas.
