FT reported on US plans to lift sanctions on Russia in the near future

TheUnited States may soon lift sanctions against Russia. This was reported by the Financial Times (FT) on February 25.

According to the publication, during the talks between the Russian and American sides in Riyadh, Russia handed over "a long list of tempting business proposals."

"Expect US sanctions against Russia to be lifted soon," the publication said.

On February 20, the head of the U.S. Treasury Department Scott Bessent allowed the change of sanctions against Russia. According to him, decisions will be made depending on the course of negotiations between the two countries.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on February 18 indicated that in case of settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, the Western countries will be forced to lift anti-Russian sanctions: it is necessary for all parties to make concessions.
