Residents of Kursk region will be able to apply for a preferential mortgage at 2%

Residents of Kursk region, whose housing is recognized as uninhabitable, lost or damaged, can apply for a preferential mortgage at a rate of up to 2% per annum under the program "Preferential mortgage in the territory of new subjects of the Russian Federation". This was reported on February 25 on the website of the Ministry of Finance.

"The program is valid until December 31, 2026," - stated in the message.

Such a mortgage loan can be obtained for the construction of an individual residential building, the purchase of an apartment in a new building or in the secondary market. In addition, until this date extends a similar preferential mortgage program for residents of the Belgorod region, whose housing also turned out to be unfit for habitation.

Earlier, in December 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during the "Results of the Year" that all facilities, housing and infrastructure in the Kursk region will be restored. He promised that specialists will repair the road network, utility infrastructure, social facilities, housing and much more. Certificates will also be issued to rebuild houses.
