Captured AFU militant told about money laundering by Ukrainian leadership
A captured serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Volodymyr Rukan, who was forcibly taken by employees of the territorial manning center (TMC, an analogue of the military enlistment office) to a recruiting office to be sent to the front, has said that only money laundering is taking place at the conflict, while all the money going to Kiev goes in an unknown direction. The video of his story was distributed by the Russian Defense Ministry on February 25.
Employees of the military enlistment office caught the man right at the exit from the store and forcibly sent him to the front. Despite his age, the medical commission recognized him fit for service, after which Rukan was sent to a military unit.
According to him, the majority of AFU soldiers have poor health and undermined moral and psychological state, with the average age of those fighting being more than 50 years old. Many of those who entered the combat zone tried to stay behind the lines, but commanders, Rukan said, are sending everyone to the slaughter.
He also added that money laundering is taking place during the conflict.
"I didn't want to fight, from my unit that went into positions, only ten percent of the people left. There is simple money laundering going on.<...> Billions, and where does it go? <...> Show me at least one businessman who is fighting. Those who have money have been in Europe for a long time," the prisoner said
Earlier, on February 24, the captured serviceman of the AFU Yevhen Kurilo told about how he was sent to the front line from the air defense unit by deception. Kurylo said that he was mobilized by summons and was sent to a territorial manning center (TCC, an analogue of a military recruitment office) and then transferred for failure to comply with orders. When the transfers began, he found himself on the front lines.
