Ex-head of kindergarten in Yekaterinburg convicted in case of child's death

The court sentenced the former acting head of a municipal kindergarten in Yekaterinburg in the case of the death of six-year-old Daler. This was reported on February 25 by the Prosecutor's Office of the Sverdlovsk region.

The court found the ex-head of the institution guilty of negligence. The defendant was sentenced to two years in a colony of general regime, but she replaced the punishment with compulsory labor for the same period with the deduction of 15% of earnings to the income of the state and with deprivation of the right to hold managerial positions for two years.

It is specified that the woman knew that the boy in August 2022 had various injuries, but she did not report it to the guardianship authorities and the police. In addition, she failed to note that the boy did not go to daycare 201 days without a valid reason.

As a result of negligence, Daler's guardian Veronika Naumova continued to beat and torture the child until she killed him, the prosecutor's office said.

Daler Bobiev's body was found in a bag on the territory of a garage complex in the Chkalovsky district of Yekaterinburg on June 29, 2023. The boy was searched for three days.

According to the investigation, Naumova reported the child missing on the morning of June 26, but Daler died a few days before. The guardian was detained and charged with murder, torture and fraud in receiving payments.

Later, on August 19, 2024, a former employee of the guardianship and custody department, who worked with this foster family, was found guilty of official forgery and received a fine of 100 thousand rubles. According to the investigation, the woman had drawn up a forged act stating that she had visited Bobiev's family and made sure that the boy lived in decent conditions. This document became the basis for continued payments to Naumova.

On August 26, the court imposed a ban on certain actions for the acting head of the kindergarten where the dead child went. According to the investigation, she concealed information that the boy's body had injuries and did not inform the authorized bodies that Bobiev had not attended kindergarten for more than 200 days.

In addition, investigators found out that Naumova used violence against the child in her care for three years and involved two minor girls and her minor nephew in this crime.
