What to buy for Pancake Day at the "Winter in Moscow" venues


From February 21 to March 2 in the framework of the festival "Moscow Pancake Day" at the sites of the project "Winter in Moscow" residents and guests of the capital will be able to find unique products that are not sold in conventional stores. This was reported on February 25 on the website of the mayor of the city.
On Manezh Square citizens will be able to buy souvenirs created by craftsmen inspired by folk traditions. Among the goods will be presented original jewelry, accessories, materials for creativity, books, postcards and products made of vines. Dolls dressed as Baba Yaga, Domovoy and other fairy tale characters are especially popular.
At the site in Koptevo Muscovites will be offered to buy warm hats with cheerful faces of animals and cartoon characters, jewelry made of natural stones and three-dimensional 3D toys. On Sukhonskaya Street it will be possible to find soft toys, unusual trinkets and painted whistles dedicated to Pancake Day.
In addition, in the Moskino movie park there is a special zone where author's glass products made in the fusing technique are presented.
"For the first time the festival "Moscow Pancake Day" was held in the capital in 2017 and since then has become traditional", - noted in the publication.
On February 24, a nutritionist, head of the Department of clinical nutrition of the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Health of Russia Marina Stepanyan told "Izvestia" about how to prepare healthy pancakes. She recommended using less fatty fermented milk products (2.5% fat kefir) and milk (2.5% fat milk).
