The resolution adopted by the UN General Assembly (GA), which contains anti-Russian rhetoric, does not contribute to the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict. This was stated by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in an interview with Breitbart News on 24 February.

He added that the US resolution, which was submitted to the UN Security Council, is the most fair, as it contains the resolution of the conflict without rhetoric against any of its parties.

"Frankly, we did not think it was appropriate to discuss in the UN something that is hostile to one of the parties," Rubio said.

The portal's material specifies that Rubio's speech is the first detailed explanation from the US about why it rejected the resolution in the UNGA.

The UN General Assembly on February 24 adopted an anti-Russian resolution on Ukraine. The project was supported by 93 countries, 18 states voted against the adoption, 65 abstained from voting. At the same time, the chairman of the Russian Public Chamber's commission on sovereignty issues and co-chairman of the coordination council for the integration of new regions, Vladimir Rogov, called the anti-Russian resolution on Ukraine adopted by the UN General Assembly a shameful document aimed at fueling the conflict.
