Trump says US and Russian Federation in constant contact over Ukraine conflict

TheUSA is in constant contact with the Russian side on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, Washington is confident in Moscow 's desire to succeed. This was stated by US President Donald Trump on February 24.

"I've talked to Russian President Vladimir Putin, and my people are in constant contact with him and his people, <...> they want to put an end to this conflict. I could be wrong, but I'm sure Putin wants to make a deal," he said at a joint press conference with French leader Emmanuel Macron.

According to Trump, making a deal would benefit Russia. The American leader added that he would like to immediately reach an agreement on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, but he realizes that a ceasefire can be achieved faster.
