The Russian government has corrected an error in the name of Georges Dantes in the description of the cultural heritage site at the site of the duel that killed the poet Alexander Pushkin. The corresponding decree was published on February 24.

"The words "The place where on January 27, 1837 took place the duel of the poet Pushkin A. S. with Dantes E." replaced by the words "The place where the duel of Pushkin A. S. S. with Dantes J. S.", - stated in the ruling.

It is noted that this error was also contained in the documents of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the St. Petersburg Committee for State Control, Use and Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments.

On February 14, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation reported that the error in the name of the cultural heritage site, where the duel between Russian poet Alexander Pushkin and Georges Dantes took place, will be corrected in the near future. It was specified that the changes will be made in the decree of the Russian government, as well as in the order of the Ministry of Culture of Russia.
