Msta-B howitzer crews destroyed a UAV control center and AFU manpower

Msta-B towed howitzers of the 34th Independent Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the "North" group of troops have destroyed fortifications, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) control point and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the border area of Kursk Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on February 25.

The camouflaged enemy objects were detected by scouts using drones. After that, the command gave the order to destroy the identified targets, and the Msta-B 152-millimeter howitzers struck the enemy fortifications, UAV control point and manpower. After each shot a correction is made to the target settings, for example, changes in weather conditions are taken into account, the agency noted.

Fire defeat is carried out at ranges of several dozens of kilometers. During the fulfillment of combat missions, the Msta-B towed howitzers use fragmentation and high-accuracy ammunition. This makes it possible to inflict maximum damage to fortifications, buried concrete fortifications, as well as armored vehicles and enemy personnel.

"We cover vehicles moving, lightly armored, of course. Mostly covered infantry. I think it would be very bad without artillery. Artillery works, I think, well. I will not praise, but fulfills its task 100%," - said the deputy platoon commander with the call sign Caspian.

Artillery units of the 34th Independent Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade continue to deliver precision strikes against enemy targets in the Kursk border area, thus supporting the assault and motorized rifle units of the "North" group of forces.
