Military groups of troops "Vostok" destroyed AFU equipment in the special operation zone

Servicemen of the reconnaissance unit of the 40th Marine Brigade of the Vostok group of troops, cooperating with artillerymen, have identified and destroyed armored vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) in the South Donetsk direction of the special military operation (SMO). This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on February 25.

The ministry specified that after detecting the targets, the scouts immediately transmitted the exact coordinates to the command center of the barrel artillery, after which an aimed strike was made on the identified positions.

"Our task is, first of all, air reconnaissance, identification of enemy equipment, points of temporary dislocation of militants, trenches, dugouts," - said the operator of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with the call sign Filin.

UAV operators work around the clock. In order to search for and recognize targets, the drones are equipped with various optical devices, powerful cameras and thermal imagers, the ministry said.
