The Russian Defense Ministry spoke about the feats of the Russian military in the area of the Strategic Air Defense Forces

On February 25, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on the exploits of Russian army servicemen in the zone of the special military operation (SMO).

For example, Maxim Yakovlev, a rifleman of the BARS-32 volunteer unit, together with his comrades, detected an approaching sabotage and reconnaissance group of militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), which was armed with small arms and grenade launchers. Using communication means, Yakovlev immediately reported the approaching enemy and together with his comrades opened fire on the Ukrainian fighters.

The AFU, constrained by the fire of the Russian soldiers, attempted to destroy the observation post along with the fighters and sent FPV drones with drops there. Yakovlev destroyed some of the enemy copters, but one of them detonated in close proximity to the observation post, leaving the military man with shrapnel wounds and broken ribs. Despite his serious injury, Yakovlev continued to restrain the Ukrainian fighters until reinforcements arrived.

After the enemy was thrown back, the serviceman was evacuated to a medical facility. Thanks to the courage, heroism and bravery of Maxim Yakovlev, the soldiers managed to hold back the onslaught of the advancing enemy and prevent a breakthrough in the defense.

Also in the department reported about the feat of Private Andrei Kovalenko, who performed the task of storming the enemy stronghold. His group of storm troopers was attacked by the AFU from a camouflaged machine gun point. Kovalenko stealthily approached the border of the enemy stronghold and destroyed the machine gun crew of the militants with a grenade.

After that, the private from the trench opened fire on the enemy, as a result of which he destroyed part of the Ukrainian militants and took one prisoner. After clearing the stronghold, Private Kovalenko, continuing to act as part of the assault group, held the defense against enemy counterattacks until the main forces approached. Thanks to the courageous and decisive actions of Andrei Kovalenko, the enemy was knocked out of favorable positions, and the assault group significantly improved the position of the front line, which led to the subsequent liberation of the village from enemy armed formations.

On February 24, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Russian troops liberated the settlement of Topoli in Kharkiv Region. Servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces hit the Ukrainian army's manpower and equipment of three mechanized, airborne and assault brigades and a thero-defense brigade in the areas of Kupyansk, Kamenka, Stepovaya Novoselovka and Lozovaya in Kharkiv Region.
