Following the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Ankara, where he met with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, the parties' commitment to the implementation of agreements on mutually beneficial cooperation was confirmed.

In addition, issues on the international agenda, including the Syrian settlement and the situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone, were discussed.

"It was agreed to continue to support an active Russian-Turkish political dialog, including on the Ukrainian crisis and other topics of mutual interest in international relations," the ministry said in a statement.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan expressed readiness to hold talks on the situation in Ukraine. He emphasized that in order to achieve a peaceful settlement, it was necessary to involve both sides of the conflict and Turkey was ready to provide all possible support in this process.
