Russian tactical game "Sparta 2035" has been released on Steam in early access

Russian tactical turn-based tactical game "Sparta 2035" was released in early access on the international platform Steam. This became known to "Izvestia" on February 24.

The action of the game is set in Africa, in 2035, where fighters from the squad "Sparta" help the local president in the fight against the militants of the radical organization Daamat, wishing to seize all of East Africa.

The player will have to form his squad and manage it during tactical battles, provide management of his base and equipment for the operatives. In Early Access the player can pass one of the three chapters of the story campaign and get at his disposal 10 unique fighters, as well as fight the enemy in dozens of tactical missions.

It is noted that the release of the full version of Lipsar Studio panned at the end of 2025. In addition, the domestic gaming community met the game positively. Credit to the developers provided a free demo version, released in October 2024 and received positive reviews, including on Steam.

The game was created with the support of the Internet Development Institute (IDI) and is an important product for domestic gamers. Previous major games from IRI on Steam have not been introduced to a global audience.

Earlier, on January 29, Mikhail Khachaturyan, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Strategic and Innovative Development of the Finance University, told Izvestia that in 2028 the volume of the cybersports games market in Russia can grow almost twice and reach $70-80 million. He also suggested that the number of cybersports competitions will grow, and one of the fastest growing markets along with cybersports will be the market of uninterruptible power supplies
