Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on Monday, February 24, commenting on the words of Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, asked representatives of the kingdom whether sickness is better than health.

According to the DR public broadcaster, Frederiksen, speaking in Kiev, said that peace in Ukraine would be more dangerous than conflict and called for continued support for the country.

"Is health more dangerous than disease? - would like to clarify from Copenhagen," Zakharova wrote in her Telegram channel.

Earlier, on February 24, the Danish authorities announced that they would provide Ukraine with additional aid worth 2 billion Danish kroner (about $280 million). It is planned to supply ammunition and form a Ukrainian brigade, which will be organized in cooperation with the Nordic and Baltic countries.

At the same time, the head of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyen, announced financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 3.5bn euros. The politician said that at the EU summit on 7 March she would present a plan to increase the production of weapons and strengthen the association's defense capabilities.
