Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation Evgeny Morozov died in Moscow

Yevgeny Morozov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Honorary Professor of MEPhI, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, passed away at the age of 97. This was reported by a source of Izvestia on February 24.

According to the source, the professor sought medical help on February 7. He was diagnosed with chronic heart failure.

Morozov died on February 22 in the capital. According to the MEPhI website, the Soviet and Russian scientist worked at the university since 1951. The area of his scientific interests was fracture mechanics.
