Weather forecaster warns Muscovites of frosty weather this week

Almost until the end of the calendar week the weather in the capital region will be determined by the area of increased atmospheric pressure, so the frosty weather remains. This was told to "Izvestia" on February 24 by leading specialist of the information agency "Meteonovosti" Tatyana Pozdnyakova.

On the night of Tuesday, February 25, the air temperature in Moscow will be-12...-14 degrees, in the region -12...-17. Daytime temperature due to solar heating in the capital will be -2...-4, in the region: -1...-5 degrees.

"In the following days, the air will still be transformed, the air temperature will begin to rise at the expense of both night and daytime temperatures. The minimum temperature on Wednesday, February 26, in Moscow will already be -8...-10, in the region: -7...-12 degrees. Daytime temperature in the city: -1...+1, and in the region about 0 degrees. The air temperature will gradually approach the climatic norm," - said the forecaster.

According to her, February 27 precipitation is not expected, but the weather will not be so clear, clouds will appear. The night will be noticeably warmer: -2...-7 degrees in the region. Daytime temperature: -2...+3 degrees. Practically such a temperature regime will remain until the end of the week, including the weekend.

"But already starting from Friday will be the weather cloudy with clearing, will receive small precipitation, in the night hours - it is a small snowball, and in the afternoon - it is already a mixed phase. The air temperature will be slightly above the climatic norm, but the west wind will increase, the humidity will increase, so there will be no joyful state that spring has come to us. Still, the weather will be less bright than what we are observing now outside the window," - concluded Pozdnyakova.

Earlier, on February 14, it was reported that meteorologists predict an unusually warm spring in 2025. The strongest deviation from the usual weather will be noticeable in the capital, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Voronezh and Samara. At the same time, the blooming of plants and seasonal allergies will begin earlier than usual, according to the data of the "Yandex Weather" service.
