Rosaviatsia denied reports about the opening of temporarily closed airports

The information circulated in the media about urgent preparations for the opening of temporarily closed airports in Russia does not correspond to reality. This was reported on Sunday, February 24, by Rosaviatsia spokesman Artem Korenyako.
"The information disseminated in the media about 'urgent preparations for the opening' of temporarily closed airports in central Russia and the south of the country, 'collecting applications for flights' in them does not correspond to reality and is an absolute fake," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
About the fact that the airports of Voronezh, Lipetsk, Simferopol and others are allegedly preparing to open earlier in the day reported the portal Mash. So, according to the publication, the decision can be made at any moment, in connection with which new workers are actively hired, and already existing employees are not given vacations.
Korenyako in turn noted that Rosaviatsia will officially inform in advance in case of changes in the mode of operation of airports.
The flight restriction regime at Krasnodar airport, as well as Anapa, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Gelendzhik, Kursk, Lipetsk, Rostov-on-Don, Simferopol and Elista was first introduced on February 24, 2022 after the start of the Russian special operation to protect Donbass. Since then, it has been regularly extended.
