Zabaikalye will have three days of rest because of the White Month holiday

Residents of the Transbaikal Territory will have three days off to celebrate Sagaalgan. The first day of the celebration falls on Saturday, March 1.

As IA ChitaMedia writes with reference to the regional government, due to the fact that March 1 is already a day off, an additional day off will be moved to Monday, March 3. Thus, the Transbaikalians will rest from March 1 to March 3.

The government explained that all norms of labor legislation apply to the celebration of Sagaalgan. In particular, it is forbidden to work on public holidays, before the day off the working day will be reduced by one hour, and if the day off falls on Saturday or Sunday, it must be transferred to the next working day after it.

Earlier it was reported that in 2025 Russians will not have an additional day off before the holiday on March 8. This is due to the fact that the holiday falls on a Saturday. Usually in such cases, the day off is transferred to the next working day, but the final decision is made by the Russian government. In 2025, in accordance with the Russian government decree of 04.10.2024 № 1335, Russians will have an additional day off on June 13 - the Friday after Russia Day. Thus, there are four consecutive days off in June: from the 12th to the 16th.
