- The incidence of acute respiratory viral infections increased by 12% in the Lipetsk region

Over the past week, more than 8.8 thousand residents of the Lipetsk Region went to doctors with signs of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI). The morbidity rate increased by 12%.
Rospotrebnadzor specialists record the circulation of respiratory viruses, as well as influenza A(H1N1) and B viruses. A total of 188 cases of influenza have been detected, reports GOROD48.
In 35 schools in Lipetsk, 171 classes have been transferred to distance learning. Such a measure is taken in case of absence of more than 20% of students due to morbidity.
The overall level of morbidity remained below the epidemic threshold by 11.9%.
Doctors remind that folk remedies for treatment of acute respiratory viral infections can be not only ineffective, but also dangerous to health. For example, procedures in the bath will only temporarily relieve symptoms, while increasing body temperature. And breathing hot steam from potatoes can cause burns.
