The explosion that took place on the territory of the Russian Consulate General in Marseille has all the signs of a terrorist attack. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova on February 24.

"The explosions on the territory of the Russian Consulate General in Marseille have all the signs of a terrorist attack, we demand from the country of accreditation exhaustive and speedy investigation measures, as well as steps to strengthen the security of Russian foreign missions," the diplomat told TASS.

Theexplosion outside the Russian Consulate General in Marseille occurred earlier in the day. Police and the city's marine fire department arrived at the scene. In the same neighborhood there are diplomatic missions of other states.
