FT reported on Zelensky's conflict with the head of the US Treasury over the resources deal

Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy was "very angry" at a meeting with US Finance Minister Scott Bessent when discussing a deal on rare-earth metals, and there was a conflict between the parties. This was reported by the British newspaper Financial Times on February 23.

According to the FT, the Ukrainian leader yelled at Bessent, when discussing the agreement. Thus, Washington requires 50% of the rights to rare earth metals of Ukraine and the most important minerals of the country to recoup the money spent on support for Kiev.

As indicated in the material, Zelensky also rejected Bessent's assertion that "partnership" with the United States in the field of mining will strengthen Ukraine's security.
