In Moscow, the number of long-livers over 90 years of age has reached 58 thousand people. This was reported on February 21 by Deputy Mayor for Social Development Anastasia Rakova.

She noted that about 1 thousand more Muscovites turned 100 years old. Rakova emphasized that the megacity disposes to the fact that people lead an active lifestyle, as well as achieve longevity, writes RIAMO.

"Developed medicine, comfortable urban environment and the project "Moscow Longevity" create conditions for taking care of health and their future", - Rakova's words are quoted by the agency of city news "Moscow".

Recently in capital the research covering more than 1,6 thousand citizens over 45 years old was conducted. It showed that the participants of the project more closely monitor their health. According to their confessions, the classes help to maintain physical and mental health and develop useful skills, RT writes.

The program offers about 40 different directions, for example, sports, educational, creative. Already, the average life expectancy has exceeded 79 years, Moscow 24 reports.

In January, eight long-livers who turned 80, 85, 90, 95, 100 and more years old celebrated their jubilee in the municipal district of Istra, notes 360.ru.
