Russian actor Yura Borisov, who played the lead role in the movie "Anora", was not included in the list of winners of the U.S. Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles. This was reported by Variety on February 23, Sunday, following the jury's decision.
"Conclave," a thriller about the election of a new pope, triumphed at the 31st U.S. Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday, winning the top prize for best cast in a motion picture. "Shogun," an epic look at feudal Japan, and "In a Building Only Murders," a detective satire, won the prizes for best cast in the drama and comedy categories
However, it is noted that "Anora," previously won the Directors Guild and Producers Guild awards, making it a favorite to win best picture at the upcoming Oscars.
"However, "Conclave's" win at the U.S. Screen Actors Guild Awards, as well as its win last week at the BAFTA Awards, signals that it could eventually triumph at the Oscars," the publication noted."
February 17 in Moscow held the audience premiere of the drama "Summer will end" with Yura Borisov. On the script directors Vladimir Munkuev and Maxim Arbugaev began working in 2021, and began shooting in 2022. The output of this movie was delayed, during this time Arbugaev and his sister Eugenia managed to shoot the documentary "Exit" and received for him a nomination for "Oscar".
