- The Defense Ministry showed footage of attack aircrafts operating in the Dzerzhinsky direction of the SVO zone

Assault units of a separate battalion of the Russian special forces continue to occupy strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Dzerzhynsk direction of the Special Military Operation (SMO) zone during offensive actions. This was reported in the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry on February 24.
"The units of the special purpose battalion of the 51st All-Russian Army continue continuous work to dislodge Ukrainian nationalists from their positions in the Dzerzhinsky direction of the special military operation," the ministry said.
The published footage shows special forces moving to the forest belt on motorized vehicles and then clearing the positions of the Ukrainian military, which had fortified there earlier, meter by meter.
The press service pointed out that the assault groups include the best-trained servicemen who are able to emerge victorious from fire contact even with a numerically superior enemy.
"Here, the faster you change fortification, the better. We go in - the houses are all intact. You go into one house, sit there for a certain period of time, move to another house - that house is already being dismantled. That is, if you do not move quickly, you are quickly caught," said the commander of the special operations group with the call sign Sych about the peculiarities of the attackers' combat work.
As a result of the assault, the Russian Armed Forces captured an enemy stronghold in a forest belt. During the operation, the AFU units stationed there lost up to 15 people killed and wounded.
On February 23, the Russian Armed Forces liberated the settlements of Ulakly and Novoandreyevka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). Russian fighters defeated 11 brigades and a regiment of the AFU in the areas of several localities of the DNR. The enemy lost up to 365 fighters, armored and motorized vehicles and weapons.
