The final stage of the Komodo-2025 exercise with the participation of the Russian Federation took place off the coast of Indonesia

The final stage of the international military exercise "Komodo-2025" was held in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Indonesia with the participation of ships from Russia. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry on February 24.

"The final stage of the multilateral international naval exercise "Komodo-2025" took place off the coast of Bali Island of the Republic of Indonesia. More than 20 warships from various states took part in it," the ministry said.

The Russian Navy was represented by the corvettes Rezky and Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov, as well as the medium sea tanker Pechenga of the Pacific Fleet (POF).

"During the practical episode of the exercise the crews of the ships practiced the tasks of rescue at sea. The ships of the multinational detachment as part of tactical groups carried out a search for a civilian vessel in distress with a rescue operation on the water," the department said.

The rescue operation and the search for victims were carried out in the specified areas with the use of deck helicopters. The Russian side engaged the Ka-27PS deck helicopter to fulfill the objective.

After successfully accomplishing all the tasks of the practical part of the exercise, the crews of the military vessels took part in a solemn farewell ceremony, during which the ships passed on opposite courses of travel. Having passed the exercise plan, the detachment of the Talnakh Concentrator's ships continued to fulfill the goals and tasks according to the long-range campaign plan.

"The international exercise "Komodo-2025" started on February 16. During the week, the ships' crews took part in sports and cultural events, a security symposium and a multinational parade. In total, more than 20 warships and observers from more than 30 countries participated in the exercise organized by the Indonesian Navy," the statement said.
