"Donbass Dome" intercepted 171 AFU drones over Donetsk and Makeyevka during the week

The DonbassDome airspace protection and electronic warfare system repelled 171 attacks by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on the infrastructure and civilians of the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) during the week. This was reported by the Russian Federal Security Service's directorate for the region on February 24.
"Over the past week, the Donbass Dome airspace defense and electronic warfare system detected and intercepted 171 enemy UAVs over Donetsk and Makeyevka. Increased activity of Ukrainian strike and reconnaissance drones over peaceful towns of the republic on the eve of Fatherland Defender's Day has been recorded," the ministry said.
In particular, a drone was intercepted over the airspace of Makeyevka, which was aimed at one of the critically important water pumping stations.
Also in the Kirovsky district of Donetsk, an aircraft-type UAV heading towards residential neighborhoods was suppressed. There they also managed to eliminate a reconnaissance quadrocopter flying near a kindergarten.
"Explosive technicians of the FSS of Russia in the DNR with the help of special technical means neutralized the UAV and destroyed explosive objects at a specialized testing ground. Thanks to the coordinated work of our defenders and the timely response of citizens, the places where the drones fell were promptly identified. There were no casualties among civilians and damage to infrastructure," the agency said.
A week earlier, the Donbass Dome thwarted 193 attacks by Ukrainian UAVs over Donetsk and Makeyevka. It was reported that a Ukrainian strike UAV of the airplane type was intercepted near an electric substation and residential neighborhoods of the Kuibyshevskyy district of Donetsk.
