- Americanist urged not to be euphoric about the beginning of the Russian-American dialogue

Now one should not get euphoric about the start of the Russian-American dialog, as the war parties still have strong positions both in the United States and in Europe. Americanist Eduard Lozansky told Izvestia.
"It is important to realize that we are only at the beginning of a difficult and thorny path to peace, as the parties of war in both the US and Europe are still very strong. Nevertheless, after the meeting in Riyadh, many were forced to recognize that the United States and Russia have moved toward a dizzying reset of their relationship," he said.
At the same time, he said, there is no complete solidarity in Europe about maintaining an unfriendly policy toward Moscow. And it is not only about such countries as Hungary or Slovakia. In this situation, the countries of Europe are trying to build a common line.
"French President Emmanuel Macron has called an emergency summit of European leaders in Paris to understand how to act in a situation where it is no longer possible to rely on the support of the United States," the expert added.
European leaders, however, will be forced to gradually change their policies.
"Look at the pathetic ratings of most European leaders, whose policies ignore the interests and wishes of the people," summarized the Americanist.
