New Zealand introduces new package of sanctions against Russia


New Zealand is introducing a new package of sanctions against Russia. This is reported on February 23 on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the state.
It is specified that the restrictions apply to 27 individuals and 25 legal entities.
"These additional sanctions are directed against 52 individuals and organizations," - said the Minister of foreign Affairs Winston Peters.
The Office notes that such measures were taken in connection with the actions of the Russian Federation in relation to Ukraine.
On the same day it was reported that the UK on Monday, February 24, will present a new large-scale package of sanctions against Russia. According to the British Foreign Minister, the date of the announcement of sanctions is related to the anniversary of the beginning of the special operation of the Russian Federation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022.
