Peskov explained Trump's harsh remarks about Zelensky

US President Donald Trump's harsh rhetoric about the Kiev regime was provoked by the incorrect behavior of Ukrainian head of state Volodymyr Zelensky. This was reported by the press secretary of the Russian head of state Dmitry Peskov in an interview with VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin on February 23.
According to the Kremlin spokesman, Zelensky allows incorrect statements regarding the administration of the United States.
"Of course, no president will tolerate such an attitude towards himself. And the president's team, his associates will not tolerate such an attitude towards their boss either. Therefore, such a reaction is quite understandable," Peskov said in the conversation, an excerpt of which Zarubin published in his Telegram channel.
Earlier, on February 22, The Wasington Post (WP), citing the opinion of former deputy head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Olena Zerkal, said that the idea of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to "pounce" with unflattering attacks on US President Donald Trump was wrong.
At the same time, the British TV channel Sky News, citing a Ukrainian source, said that Zelensky was not ready to conclude a deal with the USA on the extraction of rare-earth metals because Kiev had found "a number of problematic issues" in the draft agreement.
