In the city of Balakovo, Saratov region, a woman was injured as a result of an accident in an apartment building.

The press service of the regional government reported that the regional governor Roman Busargin took control of the investigation into the circumstances of the accident. The victim is currently being treated by medics. Law enforcers are working at the scene of the incident.

In the SU of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for the region a criminal case has been opened.

"A criminal case has been initiated. Investigative actions and operational activities are carried out to establish all the circumstances of the incident," - stated in the Telegram-channel of the Department.

Earlier, on February 18, in the Baryshsky district of the Ulyanovsk region, two people were injured due to the collapse of the floors of the house. In the press service of the regional Prosecutor's office noted that the incident occurred on February 17. According to preliminary information, the cause of the collapse of a two-family house in the village of Chuvashskaya Reshetka was the ignition of cylinder gas. The injured man and woman were taken to a medical center.
