Boxer Roy Jones shared a way to train speed in the ring

American boxer Roy Jones gave advice on how to train speed in the ring. He told about it on Sunday, February 23, during a press conference held in Yoshkar-Ola, answering a question from his Russian colleague Kevin Johnson.
"Here, for example, in athletics, the coach tells you that if you move your arms faster, your legs will move faster a priori. And it's the same here: in boxing, if we speed up the legs, the arms speed up, and vice versa. If the hands are accelerated, the legs are also accelerated," Johnson shared.
In addition, the athlete expressed the opinion that speed in the ring is 100% in the physical category, not mental.
The day before, on February 22, Jones flew to Kazan before his visit to Yoshkar-Ola on the eve of the new tournament of "REN TV Fight Club". The boxer stated that the upcoming fights at the tournament will be exciting.
Jones announced a visit to Yoshkar-Ola on February 20. He plans to visit the head of the republic, Yuri Zaitsev, and discuss several issues with him, including the preparation of the next boxing tournament.
The new tournament "REN TV Fight Club" will be held on February 28 in the ice palace "Mari El" Yoshkar-Ola. In one of the most expected fights will take part Sergey Kuzmin and Ebenezer Tetteh. Besides them Igor Sviridchenkov and Roniel Iglesias will step into the ring, and Sergey Sergeyev will fight against Jorge Manuel Soto.
